Fault causes power interruption in Nairobi

A technical fault on a high voltage line that supplies bulk electricity from Juja Road substation to Muthurwa substation and Nairobi CBD Jevanjee substation has this evening caused a power interruption affecting Nairobi City residents.

Customer affected include those residing in the areas of Eastlands, Mathare North, Syokimau, Parklands, Ngara, lower side of the CBD, Tom Mboya Street, Muranga Road, and adjacent areas.


Kenya Power engineers are currently engaged in the restoration process and everything is being done to minimise the duration of the interruption.


Kenya Power highly regrets the inconvenience the interruptions have caused to the customers and requests for patience as the fault is rectified.
